A very well rounded filmmaker and published author, Todd Grossman has won numerous awards for an array of film and HD projects. Raised in New Hampshire, he began skateboarding and shooting videos at age 12. By 20 he graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Cinema-Television, retired as a top ranked professional athlete including competition in the X-Games and Gravity Games, and was running a Los Angeles based production company full time.
Grossman helped pay his way through college directing, shooting, and editing documentaries and videos; as well as doing stunts in commercials and feature films such as Michael Bay’s NIKE Super bowl series & BATMAN and ROBIN.
In 2002, blockbuster action filmmaker Rob Cohen hired him to direct, produce, and shoot xXx: A FILMMAKERS DIARY, which resulted in a nomination for Best Documentary of the Year. Grossman went on to direct several award winning toy commercials for Razor USA, as well as the LA Shorts Festival’s “Best of the Fest” and NY Indy film fest winner, MEN OF ACTION.
Most recently Grossman finished “BEHIND THE TAURUS”; an HD documentary for Red Bull, as well as “UFO” and “Action Speaks 2.0”; national commercials for the Powerwing and Ripstik. His first book, “SHOOTING ACTION SPORTS” hits stores this winter. He’s currently finishing a documentary and series of webisodes for Universal Picture’, 2008 action adventure, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Grossman is represented by Michael Sugar of Anonymous Content and Tad Lumpkin at ICM.
